During the voyage of the Argo II, Percy Jackson drifts into a restless sleep, caught between fate and fantasy. The three fates—Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos—spin his dreams through the worlds that could have been, alternate universes where just one change led to a fraying of the threads of fate. This is Unwound: a journey across worlds, where each alternate universe reminds Percy what he’s fought for, what he fights for now, and what he will fight for still.
Thank you so much for your support so far! Unfortunately, Unwound has been cancelled as we did not receive enough contributor applications to proceed. While we're sad to miss out on the chance to work with you, our mods are committed to offering the best possible experience to our contributors—which includes letting the project go when our original vision is no longer feasible.Thank you again for your time, energy, and excitement. We hope to see you on a different path in the future ❤️This Carrd has been archived and elements removed to avoid information loss when not supported on a carrd pro account.

This project's moderators will weave connections between each of the written pieces to create a cohesive storyline across the whole zine. Writers will write their own High Fantasy AU, based on pitches submitted via applications, and Spot Artists will illustrate spot pieces of an assigned Writer’s AU. Page Artists will also be assigned to a specific AU and will be asked to draw a full-page scene from that Writer’s AU, though this does not need to correlate directly to the fic. Merch Artists will create merchandise designs based on their own High Fantasy PJO portrayals.

Applicants must be 16 years or older prior to submitting their contributor application.
Contributors are required to have (or make) a Discord account.
- All zine communications between mods & accepted contributors will take place on Discord to facilitate organization.
- We are happy to answer any questions if you have not used Discord before!
Contributors must create a new piece with original composition specifically for this zine—studies, recreations, or previously created pieces cannot be submitted to the zine for publishing. AI-generated pieces are not permitted.
Contributors may not share their piece outside of the Discord server until the mods permit it.
- Mods will announce when previews can be posted (during preorder sales) and when full pieces can be shared (during leftover sales).
- While contributors retain the right to their creative works, the project retains exclusivity to the piece until the project concludes or until the contributor drops from the project.
Contributors are expected to communicate regularly with the mods.
- This includes submitting check-ins on time, completing tasks as requested in announcements, and communicating if the need for an extension arises.
- Participants that miss two (2) check-ins without active communication will be removed from the project.
Contributors may be removed from the project at any time for breaking the guidelines outlined above or for engaging in harmful behavior.
- This includes but is not limited to: plagiarism, harassment, racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, name-calling, slurs, or using other hateful rhetoric.
- Contributors engaging in harmful behavior as described above outside of the project server will also be removed.
- Contributors found to be using blockchain or AI technology in their pieces or application will also be removed.
Please ensure that there are no boundaries that will prevent the mod team from viewing your application submissions.
Samples should not be restricted (such as posted on a private account, behind a paywall, etc.)—please double check all privacy settings before submitting your application.
- All links should be active & shared with the mods.
- HINT: Check your links by opening them in an incognito tab or sharing them with a friend!
For Google Drive: Please ensure that the “anyone on the internet with the link can view” setting is enabled. Instructions on how to do that can be found here.
Please double check all submitted links are correct & as final as possible—while you may update your application, we cannot guarantee that mods will review the updates.
All samples and portfolio pieces should be SFW and T-rated per our FAQ. If your portfolio links to a social media website directly (AO3, Pixiv, etc.) and includes NSFW or gory content, you must include appropriate warnings on each piece. Applicants may be disqualified for the inclusion of NSFW or gore in their samples or portfolio without appropriate warnings.
- Gore counts as anything that would take more than a band aid to fix.
Applicants are welcome to apply for as many positions as they are interested in!
- Applicants will only be chosen for one position.
- Applicants should apply to ALL positions they are interested in via the appropriate form—applicants will not be considered for positions they have not applied to.
Applicants found to be using blockchain or AI technology or stolen work in their application materials will be immediately disqualified.

“I am here because when all else fails, when all the other mighty gods have gone off to war, I am all that's left. Home. Hearth. I am the last Olympian.”I read this quote a decade and a half ago; it’s lived rent free in my brain since then.

Hello! I'm kyaurum, a writer, artist, and very silly goose. Ever since my dad told me to check the first PJO book out from the library, I've been hooked. I'm so happy to be a contributor and mod in so many zines — it’s super awesome to celebrate a series and bring together a project on what we love most.

Helloo! I’m Hibi and I’ve always loved fantasy, always will. PJO was my first introduction to Greek mythology and gave us a world so easy to imagine ourselves in for us to explore. I’m so excited to bring everyone’s favourite characters from that world into even more fantastical universes through writing and artwork!

Hi! I'm Wortel :) I first picked up PJO as a mythology-obsessed 12-year-old with a love for books, and though my tastes have changed over the years, my love for the series has always remained. While I've participated in various zines for 5 years now, I've just started to dip my toes into modding, and I'm super excited about it!
